Julia Mitchell is an integrative nutritionist. With a B.A.H in Psychology from Queen’s University and a Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrate Health, she takes a whole-body approach to nutrition, health, and wellness. She follows evidence-based, individualized nutrition practices rather than promoting food fads or the latest trends. She believes that good nutrition includes fresh, whole foods and the use of targeted supplementary nutrients when necessary. She can help you optimize your health – whether that is by healing your gut, balancing your hormones, achieving a more ideal body weight, or improving sport performance. With a degree in psychology, she is also able to assist you with healthy behavior change strategies. Before the pursual of her graduate degree, she owned and operated a small local & organic grocery store in Lethbridge, Alberta. Along with her husband Cody, they operate Sweetgrass Bison; a regenerative, grass-fed bison meat business in southern Alberta. She has been involved in food and food systems for over a decade and is passionate about nourishing the body with the highest quality food available.
Facts: She lives in Beaver Mines, Alberta with her husband, two sons and two dogs. She loves CrossFit, trail running and spending time with her family.
